  Update spring 2015: Last Sept we sustained a tragic blow to our Akita family. Our beautiful Blaze was in whelp with 12 puppies and things were going well with 8 pups born without incident and all of a sudden she developed  a uterine twist tragically killing her before I could get her  a 45 minute drive to the vet and 4 puppies. She was a stunning girl with a wonderful loving personality. She will be forever missed.
